Introducing the Squidmark MCP
October 19, 2026 · 2 min read

Squidmark now has an MCP server. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and you can ask about your X bookmarks right where you already work: "what did I save about pricing pages?", "list the threads I bookmarked from @levelsio", "summarize that article on Postgres indexes".
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to plug into other tools. Your assistant gets a small set of read-only tools for your library, and it decides when to use them.
The MCP server is part of the paid Personal plan. If you're on the free plan, upgrade on the pricing page first.
Before you start
- A paid Squidmark Personal plan, with your bookmarks imported.
- The server URL. You'll also find it, with a copy button, in Settings → MCP:
https://www.squidmark.app/mcp
Every app below signs you in through Squidmark in your browser. There are no API keys to copy.
Claude
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Squidmark and paste the server URL.
- Choose Connect and sign in to Squidmark.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Create app, name it Squidmark, paste the server URL and pick OAuth.
- Sign in to Squidmark, then turn the app on in a chat.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http squidmark https://www.squidmark.app/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick squidmark and sign in.
Cursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then choose Connect next to Squidmark in Cursor Settings → MCP:
{
"mcpServers": {
"squidmark": { "url": "https://www.squidmark.app/mcp" }
}
}
Things to ask
- "What have I bookmarked about onboarding emails?"
- "Show me everything I saved this week."
- "List my folders, then the newest five in Design."
- "Open the first one and give me the TL;DR."
What it can see
Only your own library, and only when it calls a tool. Access is read-only: an assistant can search and read your bookmarks, but it can never change, delete or post anything. To disconnect, remove Squidmark from the app's connector or MCP settings.
